Tefl teacher
Job Description
Dear Prospective Team Member,

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to read this.

I'm hoping you're exactly who we're looking for,  so we can take this advert down, stop reading CVs, and get you started in a job that's genuinely fun and rewarding.

Let me tell you a little about the school and the role.

My name is Bill Soady, and I'm joint owner of Learning Gate English School in Mafra, a beautiful town about 40 minutes from Lisbon and 20 minutes from the airport.

This is a full-time TEFL post, based at our school on Rua Maria Augusta Botelho, Loja 4b, in Mafra. You'd be teaching motivated students and lovely clients, in one of the nicest parts of Portugal to live and work.

But are you an A-Player?

There are plenty of jobs out there. We're only interested in A-Players, people committed to doing things well, with a real "can-do" attitude.

They could get a job anywhere, but they're choosy. They research who they'd be working for, and they're selective about the interviews they take, because they want more than just a job.
They want something long-term: a team where the work means something, and where they're pushed to get better at what they do.

If that doesn't sound like you, feel free to stop reading here.
But if it does, keep going, there's a lot to like about this one.

Fair warning!

Our hiring process isn't quick or easy. We'll ask you to jump through a few hoops, so we can both be absolutely sure our values line up and we can work together in a friendly, professional manner.

So it's worth getting this right.

There are two interviews and a meeting. The first is a relaxed "get to know you." The second, after a short grammar test, is about how you actually teach. Finally, you will meet Maria who also owns the school.

What we're really after is someone who wants to grow with us.

OK...if we still haven't scared you off, let's keep going!
