Dear Prospective Team Member,
Firstly, thank you for taking the time to read this job notice.
I hope that you have precisely what we’re looking for in a candidate so we can take this posting down immediately and put you to work in the fun and rewarding position we have available.
Let me begin by sharing a little about our school and the position we currently have available for you.
My name is Bill Soady and I am the joint owner of Learning Gate English School, in Mafra.
Mafra is a beautiful town about 40 minutes from Lisbon and about 20 minutes from Lisbon airport.
This TEFL post is for a full-time teacher based at our school located at Rua Maria Augusta Botelho, Loja 4b, Mafra in Portugal.
We are looking for the best candidate and want to make sure you are the most suitable person to join our team and teach in a beautiful part of Portugal with excellent clients and motivated students.
But, are You An "A-Player"?
There are a lot of jobs out there today.
But we’re ONLY looking for “A-Players” to join our team. “A-Players” are people who are committed to excellence in all that they do and have a very positive,"can do" attitude.
They can get a job anywhere, but they take the time to research the companies they’re considering working for and they’re selective in the interviews they go out on. They go the extra mile in searching for the “right” position, because they’re looking for more than a job.
They’re looking for a long-term opportunity. They’re looking to be part of a team where they can make a positive impact on the world with the work they do while being challenged to become a better version of themselves.
If that doesn’t sound like you, then feel free to stop reading now.
But, if you think you are an “A-Player” please continue to read and learn more about the exciting opportunity we have available for you as the right candidate.
Fair Warning!
Our recruitment process isn’t quick or easy.
We’re going to ask you to jump through a few hoops to prove your character and values align with ours. Because, if not, you could start the job and then quickly leave which would be a waste of your time.
So, I am sure you'll agree that it's very important to get the recruitment process right.
You’ll be asked to complete two interviews. The first, is a simple "get to know you". The second, after a quick test of your grammar knowledge, will be about how you teach.
We’re going to take our time making sure you’re the one to invest time, resources and training in when employing. (We provide ongoing teacher training as part of your job offer).
What we’re really looking for is someone who wants to grow with us.
Ok, if I still haven’t scared you away just yet, let’s continue!
